قاعده های مربوط به مدرسه زیر مجموعه ای از قاعده های بچّه داری است که ریچارد تمپلار در این بخش معرفی کرده است:

 

1.      Schooling isn’t the same as education.

2.      School comes as a package.

3.      Fight your child’s corner.

4.      Bullying is always serious.

5.      Teach them to stand up for themselves.

6.      Put up with friends of theirs you don’t like.

7.      Remember you’re their parent. Not their teacher.

8.      Don’t spoil them.

9.      Let up the pressure.

10.   They have to live with their choices (and it’s OK).

The Rules of Parenting: Part 6

قواعد این بخش از قاعده های بچّه داری توجه والدین را به سوی روابط بین فرزندان و رابطه ی بین خود و فرزندان شان جلب می کند:

 

1.      Give them each other.

2.      Recognize that squabbling is healthy (within reason).

3.      Teach them to fight their own battles.

4.      Work as a team.

5.      Let them entertain each other.

6.      Never compare children with each other.

7.      Different children need different rules.

8.      Don’t have a favorite.

9.      Mix and match.

10.   Find each child’s strength.

قواعدی در مورد شخصیّت در این بخش از قاعده های بچّه داری معرفی می شود:

 

1. Find what incentives work for your child.
2. Every child should have something he knows he’s good at.
3. Learn to appreciate the qualities that remind you of someone else.
4. Look for similarities between you.
5. Find qualities to admire in them.
6. Let them be better than you.
7. Their attitude is as important as their achievements.
8. Keep your fears and insecurities for yourself.
9. Mind your programming.
10. Don’t try to have a perfect child.
